Pink-tinted 1889 version of John Clarkson's #78-3 pose, which is found picturing him with either Chicago or Boston (who purchased his contract in the spring of 1888). Graded EX 5 by SGC, the card is sharp, the pink tint that was popular in the era contributing somewhat to a lighter image. The card has been cut slightly irregularly at the top border, though this is surely a natural cut at the factory (Old Judge cards were hand-cut from sheets at the factory and are often found irregular like this). Overall an outstanding example, a higher-grade card of an important 19th Century Hall of Famer.
