Issued 1911-14 by a Buffalo-based company, D304 is commonly called "Brunners Bread." Its cards are wider and feature somewhat cruder art than popular tobacco sets of that period. Poses and illustrations are unique to the D304 set, so even lower grade examples for any of its 25 players drive interest from prewar and type collectors via curiosity alone.

This colorful action pose shows Hall of Fame outfielder Wahoo Sam Crawford, as his grey and blue uniform stands in contrast to the bright field around him. The SGC GD 2 grade reflects corner rounding, with a crease at upper left, and small spot on the reverse. It's otherwise a bright and impressive card, sought by Hall of Fame collectors or prewar enthusiasts in any grade.
