Group of four 5" x 7" photos from one of baseball history's most distinguished photographers, Mr. George Burke. Among the four photos three Hall of Famers from the 1930's are represented, all of which appear to be Burke originals. Collection includes: 1) Bill Doak 2) Frankie Frisch 3) Goose Goslin (paper remnants from scrapbook affixed to verso) 4) Burleigh Grimes. Please note that Bill Doak's example is a known Charles Conlon image that served as source material for Doak's 1923-24 exhibit card. As such, this photo is unquestionably a copy print created from photographing an existing Conlon photo (note the "Reproduced by..." stamping on reverse). All four photos include either credit stamping or handwritten notations on verso attributing the photos to Burke along with his catalog numbering and/or player ID's. Four photos total.
