As the hobby continues to grow in popularity, the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle continues to lead the charge, truly one of the hobby's perpetually "hot" cards, with demand that seemingly never outpaces its supply. High-grade examples have reached and exceeded seven figures, with collector-grade examples following suit, even Authentic examples often reaching $40,000. This example is quite well-centered for the grade, with a strong image despite visible surface wear and corner wear consistent with the grade. The primary condition flaw here relates to the reverse, a visible ballpoint ink scribble across its entirety. This flaw obviously reduces the technical grade, but is restricted entirely to the card back - the result is a reasonably strong image, rendered more affordable by a flaw that does not impact the visual appeal of the card.  An attractive card given its flaws, one of the few "affordable" examples that present this well.
