The 1887 N28 Allen & Ginter "World's Champions" set features ten baseball players (and 40 other subjects) depicted in beautiful full-color lithographs printed on heavy white stock. Many collectors consider the N28 set to be the most beautiful ever produced. The baseball players represented are an outstanding selection of the era's most popular players including six Hall of Famers. Presented is a complete set of ten baseball players currently ranked #13 on the PSA Set Registry. A remarkably consistent set in terms of visual appeal each card features a clean white background and strong obverse image even the lower-graded cards presenting similarly. With an overall GPA of 4.83 the set could easily be upgraded with the addition of a few lower-cost commons as the technical grades of all the set's key cards lie at the EX level or better.
