Three very interesting sterling silver spoons likely produced near the turn of the century weighing 2 ounces combined. Each features an ornate design likely used as an award or memento of some sort. The first measuring approximately 5 inches in length features a more plain design with an image of a ballplayer holding a bat embossed on the spoon"s handle. The second equal in size and featuring the identical handle design but etched into the spoon is an image of the Power House some sort of electric generating facility owned by Alcoa along the St. Lawrence River in Massena NY. The third spoon near six inches in length has an ornate design in the handle that features two baseballs adjacent to two crossed bats along with a football. Etched into the spoon itself is an elegant image of the Hall of Languages at Syracuse University. The Hall of Languages is a limestone building that was constructed in 1871 and once was the sole building of the University. Renovated in the late 1970s the building still stands today.A rare interesting and possibly unique baseball collectible that would add elegance to any display.
