One of the earlier examples of pro athlete endorsement deals, Dizzy and Daffy Dean capitalized on their incredible 1934 performance with the St. Louis Cardinals by having their names emblazoned on anything from breakfast food to clothing. Such was the case with this handsome youth baseball uniform, an "official" Dizzy and Daffy Dean "play suit" that includes a gray and burgundy wool cap, jersey and pants. The "Dizzy and Daffy Dean" logo appears on the left breast. The "Dizzy and Daffy" logo also appears on the back of the jersey. Quite well-preserved, this uniform is for a very small child, just a bit bigger than toddler-sized, and yet as messy as those tykes can be, this uniform shows very little wear or damage aside from a few minor stains on the cap and along the end of the pant legs. Contains all original buttons, stitching and shows no evidence of repairs.
