Fantastic original 1939 Baseball Centennial pendant and ribbon worn by Eddie Onslow at the National Association of Professional Baseball League's 38th Annual Convention in Cincinnati. 3 1/4" tall and 2" wide pendant includes 20-season minor league veteran Eddie Onslow's nameplate at the top (he also appeared in parts of four season in the major leagues) with the NAPBL's convention ribbon attached to a Baseball Centennial pendant below. Ribbon shows some signs of gentle fraying and darkening from age, with signs of general wear to enamel and metal of the pendant. A terrific keepsake with direct relevance to the year-long 1939 Baseball Centennial celebration held throughout the game. The NAPBL served as the governing body for professional baseball's minor leagues beginning in 1902, ultimately changing its name to Minor League Baseball in 1999.
