A stately single from this large set of tough-to-find prewar postcards. The gold foil, diamond design, and clarity of its medallion portrait rival any similar issue of this period in overall attractiveness and desirability. Over 200 players appear on its checklist, covering the gamut from stars of the day to names now lost to history. The SGC PR 1 grade reflects its wear to the edges and green field, as well as its plaintive handwritten message on the reverse. It retains a strong central image and appeal regardless of grade and few Rose Company singles reached grading companies, making this tough to find in any condition.

Cy Seymour made the successul transition from successful 19th century pitcher to top slugger of the Deadball Era and set marks for versatility that Babe Ruth humself would later break. Modern fans could compare him to Rick Ankiel, if Rick had been better at both pitching and hitting over a longer career.
