1956 Type I photo of Mickey Mantle and actor James Olson, the man who portrayed the Mick on TV that fall. Airing on October 3, 1956, the one-hour episode of Kraft Theater titled "The Life of Mickey Mantle" featured Olson reenacting moments from Mantle's life interspersed with documentary-style footage. The episode told Mantle's story from boyhood to the then present day, culminating with the 1956 World Series. A tight shot of both men kneeling in an on-deck circle at Yankee Stadium, the photo is missing it's right border, now measuring approx. 7.5" x 10", and a few creases can be spotted in the corners. Strips of tape run vertically along the left and right edges of verso and scattered handwritten notations are visible. Multiple date stampings are present, including from Oct. 3, 1956, the day Mantle's episode aired. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
