Circa 1890's Z12 J.L. Prescott Enameline College Colors die-cut trade cards promoting a late 19th Century stove polish. This complete set of nine appear in the form of paper dolls, each featuring a generic athlete in the uniform of a different university dressed for a different sport. Many view the basketball doll from this issue to be the earliest basketball card. Tremendous eye appeal though several condition-related issues are present - including writing or stamping on reverse of six examples, and three with heads that have been torn away and reaffixed with clear tape.
