Unique collection of 37 snapshots, and one real photo postcard, featuring the 1947 Brooklyn Dodgers during spring training in Cuba. Each photo measures 2.5" x 2.5," with rookie Gil Hodges well represented within the grouping. Hodges appears in uniform once, as as well as six times in off the field images while sightseeing. Fellow Hall of Famer, Duke Snider, is also easily identifiable in one of the photos. 21 of the included photos depict players in uniform on the field, while the remainder appear to have been shot during off the field activities. The small size of these photos makes it difficult to easily identify many of the players but this can easily be remedied with use of a loupe or hi-res scans. The included RPPC depicts Clyde King with Hodges as they pose in front of the Havana Capitol building along with an unknown individual. There is an obvious abrasion to surface of this RPPC with evidence of removal from an album with sticky pages on verso. 38 photos total, directly from the collection of former Dodgers pitcher, Mr. Clyde King.
