Collection of three official programs hailing from the 1947 World Series between the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees. Rookie color line pioneer, Jackie Robinson, would see his first World Series action as the Yankees bested the Dodgers over 7 games; the first of six Dodgers/Yankees World Series matchups prior to the Dodgers heading to the west coast. Includes one program issued for games hosted at Ebbetts Field and two programs for games hosted at Yankee Stadium. Light soiling and wear to the covers, with the Yankee Stadium examples displaying more advanced creasing and rounding of corners. "Clyde E. King" has been handwritten at the top of both Yankee stadium programs but we cannot confirm if these notations are in King's hand. Interior pages remain clean and unscored with exception of one Yankee Stadium program with top of the 1st scored from Game 1. Three programs directly from the personal collection of former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher, Clyde King who was a member of the team that season.
