Official lineup card from the San Francisco Giants' 1970 tour of Japan, for a game against the Lotte Orions, which was saved as a souvenir by Giants' manager Clyde King. The Orions defeated the Giants 10-6 in the game, which took place at Tokyo Stadium. The lineup card lists all the players in the game in both Japanese and English (Yamazaki's name is misspelled as the leadoff hitter), with the Orions manager Water Nonin listed at the bottom. The lineup card is well-worn, with creases and stains, likely folded up and haphazardly stored until it was returned to the United States and put away among Clyde King's memorabilia collection.
It should be noted that the research into this piece would not have been possible without the gracious assistance of Bob Klevens of Prestige Collectibles.
