Beautiful collection of images from Cleveland's 1948 World Championship team, complete with the original mailing envelope to a fan in Ashtabula, Ohio, just up the lakefront from Cleveland itself.

While many of these images would reappear as trading cards in the years to follow, it is hard to improve on their standout presentation in this format. The signature example is legend and Hall of Famer Satchel Paige, who made his first appearance in Major League Baseball for this Cleveland team.
