Beautiful and bucolic view of future Black Sox star Eddie Cicotte as one half of the innovative Mecca fold-over series. These rough paper cards shared the same pair of legs and collectors would fold over the top panel to create a second "card" of the other player.
This pair shows excellent color and images on each side, with the SGC VG/EX 4 grade reflecting slight corner rounding, as well as the horztonal indentation for folding seen on all T201 cards. Utility infielder Jack Thoney barely played for Boston in 1911, so makes an interesting choice to commit to cardboard in this way.
