Black Sox cards remain in high demand and this is a great opportunity to capture one of those implicated players, even if because of a photo error on the card itself. 1917 Boston Store is part of a loose collection of sets that share the M101-4/5 Felix Mendelssohn checklist of 200 players, with brand names added at the printing stage to help those companies reach local customers. 

This card proves special because M1014/5 creators placed a photo of Lefty Williams onto this #76 Hugh High, dubbed its "White Stockings" variation, inadvertently creating a special collectible for people know those players well. The SGC VG 3 grade reflects corner rounding, modest toning, and ink chipping on a back corner.
