There's not a more appropriate baseball nickname than "Home Run," and that's precisely the nickname that Charlie Duffe was given after belting 16 of them in his first season with the St. Louis Browns. The first Alabama-born player to make the big leagues, Duffe played five seasons, swatting 34 home runs in that time. A small but visible corner crease at the lower right keeps the card from a higher holder, but advanced collectors would disregard the numerical grade on a card like this, the image sharp and well-defined, the type sharp and bold.
