Exceptional, higher-grade example of Charles Hoover's 1888 Old Judge card, graded EX 5 by PSA. A sharp card with strong image contrast, excellent centering and square corners, the card is so crisp and well-defined that one can see how the text box was laid atop the original mount of the N173 card used to create this card. A very pleasing card, higher grade for the issue.
