Lot Description  

This T206 card shows mischevious, split-grip infielder Bill Sweeney, artfully updated from a Portland (PCL) photo to the Boston Braves. He played and hit well enough as their everyday second baseman to earn Chalmer Cup votes every year it existed, 1911-13. (The MLB now considers the Chalmer Cup that era's MVP award.) Its PSA FR 1.5 grade reflects corner rounding and a notched top edge factory cut.
