This autograph is from the James Furner Collection, a wide array of sports, political, historical and entertainment industry signatures obtained by Mr. Furner over his lifetime and recently consigned to Love of the Game Auctions. Items from the Furner Collection are proudly presented throughout the auction. 

Presented is a signed 1968 letter from the U.S. Senator from South Carolina, Strom Thurmond. Thurmond served in that role from 1956 until his passing in 2003. He was an interesting and significant political figure, especially during the civil rights movement of the 1950's and 60's. PSA/DNA has authenticated the document, inked by Mr. Thurmond in bold blue ink.
