Spectacular folding director-style clubhouse chair as used by Clyde King, likely when he was Yankee manager in 1982. An interim manager who was appointed from the front office after the firing of Bob Lemon, King was at the helm for 62 games at the end of the season, before being replaced by Billy Martin for all of 1983. In his time as manager, he penciled Don Mattingly's name into the lineup for his big league debut. The chair, which features a cloth backing with the interlocking "NY" logo as well as King's embroidered name, is in outstanding condition, still functional and clean, perfect for a card room or man cave but also an outstanding piece of Yankees memorabilia in its own right. Consigned directly from the family of Clyde King.
