After managing the San Francisco Giants, Clyde King eventually became the manager of the Atlanta Braves, replacing Eddie Mathews as manager at the end of the 1974 season. As such, he was the only person to manage both Willie Mays and Hank Aaron, two of the greatest players and most prolific home run hitters of all time. Presented here is King's equipment bag, a well-worn piece with "Braves" printed on each side. Heavily soiled, the duffel clearly saw quite a bit of use, but is empty today, a remnant of the long-traveled player, coach, manager, scout and executive's time in the Braves organization.
