Rare and desirable China dinnerware set, consigned from the estate of former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Clyde King. These commemorative plates were given to each of the Dodgers players and team dignitaries, to celebrate the team's 1952 National League championship. Each piece has a printed graphic picturing a blue pennant set against a baseball graphic, with five stars at the top representing each of the club's prior pennants. The plate, saucer and cup are tough to find, and are often located in poor condition with significant damage. These three pieces have remained in the possession of the King family since 1952, and have remained largely in excellent condition, save for a large chip on the saucer, repaired long ago with glue. Three pieces total, including 10" plate, saucer and cup.
