A Canadian pitcher who managed three games with the 1946 Brooklyn Dodgers, Roy was friends with Jackie Robinson and remained friends with Rachel Robinson after Jackie's passing. Despite the brief major league career, Roy was a television commentator for the Montreal Expos from 1968 through 1984. This example of his card does exhibit some uneven age-related discoloration, but is reasonably sharp and clean, a very difficult piece to find.
