c.1930's Type I batting photo of future Hall of Famer, Joe Cronin with the Washington Senators. A 6.5" x 8.5" example from the lens of Charles Martin Conlon with smooth emulsion surface and bright-white verso. Verso displays Conlon's handwritten identifier of Cronin towards the top edge and Conlon's unmistakeable signature at the bottom. Corners remain gently rounded but photo appears free of visible handling wear so common to others of this type. Incredibly, one of 12 photos in our current auction known to have been in the possession of Charles Conlon at the time of his death. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
