Terrific Type I photo of the winningest manager of all time, Connie Mack, with his "first lieutenant" and fellow future Hall of Famer, Eddie Collins. Captured at Comiskey park in 1930, the two great baseball minds pose with what appears to be a scorecard while standing in front of their dugout. Collins joined Mack's Athletics in 1927, serving mostly as a coach during that time and helping to propel one of the great teams of the era to World Series championships in both 1929 and 1930. Fresh to the hobby 6" x 8" photo remains in outstanding condition, free from visible wear worthy of note. Credit stamping from Acme has been applied to verso where the original paper caption dated to 9/20/30 remains affixed. Just 11 days prior to the start of the 1930 World Series where the Athletics would best the St. Louis Cardinals in six games. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
