Noteworthy Type II photograph depicting a trio of stars from Connie Mack's championship teams of the 1910's. From left to right: Harry Davis, Jack Coombs, and Hall of Famer, Eddie Plank pose in their knit sweaters complete with white elephant on the left breast. Each man depicted was a three-time World Series champion with the Athletics, capturing titles in 1910, 1911, and 1913, and an American League championship in 1914. This is a classic image from the Deadball Era, often reproduced in books, publications, and online for many decades. To the best of our knowledge no Type I example of this image exists within the hobby, making this 1929 Type II offering a unique opportunity to secure a vintage print directly from the original 1913 negative. Outstanding photo measures 8" x 10" with a small crease in the upper-right corner and visible wear to lower-left corner. Large credit stamping from International has been applied to verso below the original paper caption, which remains affixed. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type II photo by PSA/DNA
