All-Stars from the 1951 Brooklyn Dodgers rest at the top step of their dugout in this 8" x 10" Type I photograph. Five of the seven Dodgers (besides Don Newcombe and Preacher Roe) would be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame following their retirement. From L to R the image includes: Jackie Robinson, Don Newcombe, Preacher Roe, Roy Campanella, Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, and Duke Snider. On their left sleeve each player is sporting the special patch worn by all NL teams that season to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the National League. Virtually flawless overall condition with verso showing trace evidence of removal from a photo album with sticky pages. A fresh to the hobby example recently discovered within the collection of former Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher, Clyde King. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
