This autograph is from the James Furner Collection, a wide array of sports, political, historical and entertainment industry signatures obtained by Mr. Furner over his lifetime and recently consigned to Love of the Game Auctions. Items from the Furner Collection are proudly presented throughout the auction. 

Presented here is a fun signed 1970 letter from Gerald "Jerry" Ford, when he was serving as Chair of the House Republican Conference, a role he had from 1965 to 1973. PSA/DNA has authenticated Mr. Ford's penmanship. In the not too distant future from this 1970 letter he would be propelled into the role of President of the United States, the 38th President, where he served from 1974 to 1977.  Mr. Ford passed away in 2006.
