1949 Uniform Agreement covering the assignment of pitchers Jim Suchecki and Jim McDonald from the Birmingham Barons to the Boston Red Sox. Dated September 30, neither pitcher wound up throwing a pitch for the Red Sox in 1949, though both would see time with the big club in 1950. Though Suchecki would pitch only four games with Boston that season, McDonald nine, both pitchers would go on to spend time with other clubs. The agreement has been signed both by Barons General Manager Eddie Glenn, and on behalf of the Red Sox, Hall of Famer Joe Cronin. Both parties applied their signatures in bold, black ink, and the document has been stamped twice by the Commissioner's office. Several creases are evident from folding, though the signatures remain strong. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (on the Cronin).
