The 1915 E106 set is essentially a reissue of poses found in the earlier
E 90-2 and E 92 sets., with several team changes made. While not as popular as some of the earlier caramel issues, E106 cards
are difficult to obtain. They came out an an opportune
time and are noteworthy for
referencing the upstart Federal League.
This example features a gorgeous light blue sky and green grass background behind the pitcher who has his hands above his head at the top of his windup. Rounded corners, worn edges, and creasing keep this card from grading higher than it has, though it still has plenty of eye appeal with the nice pose and bright colors.
PSA
has only ever graded 8 total examples of this E106, with only four receiving a higher grade than the Poor 1 offered here of New York's Hooks Wiltse.
