Clean and sharp grouping of 1939 Play Ball cards that come from the family of their original owner, a large grouping of Gum Era cards that we have been offering over the past several auctions.  These cards have been carefully handled, pulled from packs in their year of issue and then stored away, first by the original owner and then by his family.  We went through the 1939 Play Ball cards and submitted the higher-grade examples, which were sold in prior auctions, and this group comes from the remaining cards that we elected not to grade.  As such, they are clean and well cared-for, but average VG-EX/EX in condition, with a few lesser but not many stronger.
