Dockman & Sons was one of several brands captured in the E92 universe and are difficult
to track down today. Issued in 1909, the illustrations from the set are well-rendered and the cards are quite colorful.
This
example, featuring Cincinnati's Larry McLean, is centered just north on the
canvas. A slightly diagonal top cut and a more pronounced diagonal bottom cut keep the card from grading
even higher than it already has, though nice corners and edges and the gorgeous bold colors still give this one tremendous eye appeal. This is an extraordinary example seldom seen with this sort of visual appeal.
SGC has only ever graded 42 total
examples of this 1909 E92, with only four receiving a higher grade than
the EX 5 offered here of Larry McLean.
