Well-centered with a deep red background the card exhibits very little wear to the edges and only modest even corner rounding. The likely culprit keeping the card from a higher technical grade is very light caramel staining visible primarily in the cream-colored areas of the card. Such staining is common with the issue due to the method of distribution (directly inserted into boxes of Cracker Jacks). Still midgrade cards of Hall of Famers from this set have been subject to extremely high demand fetching record prices with virtually every new appearance at auction.
