Future Hall of Famer Wilbert Robinson of the Brooklyn Robins hoists the 1920 National League pennant in this original news service photo from International. Aided by Phillies manager "Wild Bill" Donovan the opposing skippers are pictured at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn on June 21, 1921. It would be Brooklyn's second pennant in five years, with Robinson first guiding his Robins (so named for their legendary manager) to a National League flag in 1916. Four pinholes are present within the white borders of this photo but they do not distract from the superb overall image quality and contrast. A full paper caption remains affixed to verso with both International credit stamping and a Baseball Magazine hologram hidden underneath. Measures 6.5" x 8.5" and is guaranteed to pass authentication as a Type 1 photo if submitted to PSA/DNA.
