Key card from this obscure Canadian issue which featured 50 cards including all the key Hall of Famers of the era. Early 1920s cards are growing in popularity as collectors begin to appreciate the sets that overlap the deadball and live ball eras; these issues typically feature both Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth. This set which may have been issued in 1923 can be found in both black and white as well as sepia tones. This example a sepia tone features Hall of Fame outfielder Tris Speaker. Graded VG/EX 50 by SGC the card features wear consistent with the grade (and perhaps a bit more than one would hope from a VG/EX card). Still it is not the grade but the rarity that makes this card special; this is one of just three graded examples.
