Graded NM 7 by SGC, this 1962 Topps Mickey Mantle is immediately recognizable by the controversial border made to look like wood grain. Either loved or hated by collectors, the 1962 set featured captivating photography, with the Mick's entry in the set being no exception.

Slight diamond cutting is present, preventing the card from achieving perfect centering. Soft corners and edge chipping keep this example from grading even higher than it has, but if it can't be a perfect 10, a Mantle graded 7 might be the next best thing.
