Among the more attractive of the 1920s strip card issues, the W551 set was issued in horizontal strips of ten, with ten baseball players included in the set. The key is, of course, Babe Ruth. This example has been graded VG+ 3.5 by SGC but would not be out of place in a higher holder. A tough card of Ruth, rendered more difficult due to the preponderance of reprints from this issue that have filtered into grading company holders (the reprints have the player and team names printed in blue; the originals are in black). An outstanding card, highly desirable in an era when any card picturing Ruth is in great demand.
