There are three different Orval Overall poses in the T206 set. One shows him in the middle of his windup with his hands at
waist level, one depicts Overall at the end of a throw
with his hand at face level, and this stoic portrait of the pitcher in front of an orange gradient background. The centering is just slightly west on the canvas, but the card features thick, consistent borders which provide a beautiful frame for the portrait. Some edge chipping and surface abrasions on the back further explain the card's technical grade.
Orval Overall's career was short, but impactful, winning more than
100 games from 1905 to 1910. He led the Cubs to four World Series
appearances in a five year span, winning back-to-back titles in 1907 and
1908.
