There are three different Rube Marquard cards included in the T206 set. This version depicts the Hall of Fame pitcher standing with his hands at his thighs in front of a cotton candy sky. The centering is just slightly east on the canvas and is accompanied by some minor diamond cutting, but the borders are otherwise clean and consistent with the grade. Soft, rounded corners and some light edge chipping further explain the card's technical grade. The back is clean and beautiful, with some light snow adding character to this 115-year-old offering.

Richard William "Rube" Marquard won more than 200 games in his career, with 23 or more each year from 1911 through 1913. He led the New York Giants to three World Series appearances, and the Brooklyn Robins to two more, but his teams never came away with a Series title. His best showing was the 1912 World Series during which he went 2-0, throwing two complete games and only allowing one earned run. Still, the Boston Red Sox won the Series 4-3-1.
