There are two different George Stovall cards included in the T206 set. One depicts him wearing a cap and holding a bat as he stands in front of a yellow sky background with green grass. This version, featuring a portrait of the First Baseman in front of a yellow background, is the slightly less rare of the two. Creases in the top and bottom right corners and some overall surface dirtiness are the main reasons for the technical grade, but even those issues cannot detract from the beauty of this card. Stovall's coloring and the colors of his uniform remain deep, dark, and bold, even after 115 years. Rounded corners and edge chipping are present, but this example still displays beautifully. PSA has only ever graded 13 total examples of this El Principe de Gales back version of the Stovall, with only eight receiving a higher grade than the GOOD 2 offered here.

Stovall collected 1,382 hits in 1,414 career games over 12 season in the Major Leagues. His most successful season was 1913, during which Stovall acted as Player/Manager for the St. Louis Browns. He finished tied for 14th in MVP voting, despite missing 66 games due to a suspension for spitting on an umpire, and then some politics within the Browns organization. Because of this strife, Stovall became the first player to break his reserve contract and jump to the upstart Federal League for the 1914 season. He played the 1914 and 1915 seasons for the Kansas City Packers before retiring.
