Another example in the long list of breathtaking skies in the T206 set is this offering of catcher Foley White. The orange and red Texas sky rages in the background of this beautiful card, whose centering is just north and west on the canvas. Foley's pose exposes his entire torso directly at the viewer, as he positions his glove and free hand to be ready to receive a throw from a teammate. Soft corners and a couple surface abrasions on the front explain the card's technical grade, while the back exhibits some foxing.

Foley Byron White started the 1909 season with Houston. He caught games in March and April, the last on April 15, 1909. The Texas League season started on April 17, and White didn't see any playing time before being released. He played his first game for Waco on May 30, 1909. Houston is not listed on White's Baseball Reference page since White never recorded a statistic with Houston, but that is the team he was playing with when the Southern League players were selected to be in the T206 set, which explains his inclusion here.
