Pitcher Ed Killian is just beginning his windup as a gorgeous sunset paints the sky behind him in this T206 beauty. You get two names for the price of one with this offering. Some collectors desire error cards, or misprints, or the like, and while this card did not receive a qualifier to go along with its grade from PSA, "KILLIAN, DETROIT" appears below the photo (as it should), and at the very top border of the card, clearly miscut from the card above on the original sheet.

Besides the double name, the centering is to the west on the canvas, with rounded corners and edge chipping consistent with the grade. A small crease at the bottom right corner is present, as well. The back exhibits some light smudging, but the uniqueness of the double name will make this offering more desirable than other examples with the same technical grade. PSA has only ever graded 13 total examples of this El Principe de Gales back version of the Killian, with only seven receiving a higher grade than the GOOD 2 offered here.

Ed Killian was a mainstay in Detroit's rotation from 1904 to 1910, winning 100 games for the Tigers over that span and leading the team to three consecutive World Series appearances from 1907 to 1909. He led the Major Leagues with 8 shutouts in 1905, also setting a career high with 23 wins, a mark he would break two years later by winning 25.
