This very image was published in the Monday, June 2, 1930 edition of the Omaha Evening Bee News, which we have chosen to show in this listing for reference purposes. Apparently, Hornsby had fractured his ankle the previous Friday, necessitating his use of crutches in the shot. Photo measures approx. 7" x 9" with a later newspaper clipping attached to verso. Below the attached clipping remains blue credit stamping from International that is largely obscured.
