The "second" Dutch Leonard is the subject of this 1939 Play Ball card, showcasing the year he blossomed into a star pitcher with the Senators.  He had 20 seasons in the majors and was 191-181 on the mound over 640 lifetime games. He's signed this card, which had some catercorner tape removed at some point, in blue ink, using his nickname (his given name was Emil) and it is PSA/DNA 8 in grade. The card originates from the Shibe Park collection of autographed cards, an original owner collection carefully collected by a teenage boy who, in 1939 and 1940, obtained many autographs from players arriving at the train station near Shibe Park, and continued for many years to obtain signatures in person and through the mail.
