The 1955 baseball season is one of the most memorable, with its memorabilia among the most widely-collected of any postwar season.  A monster 51 home run, 127 RBI season from Willie Mays, 20-win seasons from both Don Newcombe and Robin Roberts, and a tight American League race between the Yankees and Indians that went down to the wire were all overshadowed by one of the most dramatic World Series in history.  The 1955 Series, sealed by Sandy Amoros' game-saving catch in Game 7, remains legendary among New Yorkers and vintage collectors.  The 1955 Topps baseball set is among the most desirable and valuable of all the Topps issues.
