When we hear collectors surmise that there are no more great vintage finds to be had, we think of consignments like this.  Part of a large collection of original owner cards that were passed down through a generation, we have been offering cards from the 1939 Play Ball, 1933 Sport Kings and 1938 Goudey set for several auctions now.  This collection comprises the bulk of the remaining 1939 Play Ball cards, all in remarkable condition, the primary flaw relating to centering.  A few corner dings and minor creases exist here and there, but the cards are crisp and clean, appearing virtually untouched in many cases.  The collection grades approximately 8% EX/MT, 29% EX, 37% VG/EX, 24% VG, and 2% GOOD, with the overwhelming majority of the condition issues relating to centering or minor corner wear.
