Lot Description  

The 1928 MLB season saw the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Yankees win the National League and American League pennants, respectively. The Bronx Bombers then went on to sweep the Redbirds in four games in the World Series. Here is a 1928 Mound City Malt Syrup advertising promotional piece showing the A.L. and N.L. schedules for the season decorated with various promotional plugs for the product. Produced by the Mound City Products Company out of St. Louis, Missouri, the schedule includes a blank scorecard on the inside spread. In VG condition, the piece measures 7” wide by 11” high.
