Collector-grade N172 card of pitcher Bill Vinton, perhaps better known for coaching Yale freshman Amos Alonzo Stagg. In July of 1884, Vinton left Yale and joined the Philadelphia Quakers, posting a 10-10 record with a 2.23 ERA. After struggling to hold on in the majors, Vinton moved to the New England League in 1888, before finishing his baseball career with the Minneapolis Millers of the Western Association in 1889.
